The message board already allowed members to post public messages, but now the chat functionality allows members to interact privately as well. Members can initiate one-to-one chat via another member's profile. The chat is also available to reunion members, allowing them to get in touch with each other without having to share their personal details publicly in the reunion module.

Youmie Labs: Chat
Youmie is in full development. Together with associations and partners, we are constantly looking for how to make the apps even more valuable and fun for different types of associations. In so-called 'Youmie Labs', we work out ideas on a specific topic. This time, we delved into an extended chat functionality.
Private chat
Group chat
Members can also start and set up a group chat with name, description and group photo. They can then send other members a request to join the group, giving everyone control over which group chats they are added to. For example, the bar committee can discuss everything concerning the bar centrally in the app, keeping work and private life nicely separated. Besides text messages, the chat function also supports sending images. Whatsapp, we're coming for you! :)
