TAM’s more than 600 members now have a permanent home: their very own app. The Albertus Magnus Tennis Club is the largest student tennis club in Groningen and forms part of R.K.S.V. Albertus Magnus, although the club operates independently. Competitive matches are played at various levels, ranging from the fourth division to a first-division mixed team on Sundays. In addition, there are casual tennis sessions on Tuesday evenings and tournaments such as the club championships.
Three features of the app stand out in particular:
- In-app shop: you can buy merchandise and tickets directly within the app. Payment is made via iDEAL or Wero.
- Training module: members can sign up for or cancel their training sessions and only see the schedule intended for them, with automatic reminders 7 days, 48 hours and 24 hours in advance. A training session that isn’t yet full can be opened up 24 hours in advance to accommodate a larger group, allowing players from other teams to join in.
- Event registration: members register via the app and the organisers can immediately see who is attending. This can also be managed later via the Genkgo integration!
Youmie builds club apps for student sports clubs that currently manage their training schedules via email and group chat apps, featuring a training module where each member can only see their own sessions. For a club with so many teams, that saves a lot of legwork. Let the season begin!
