De Schelp Beach Club has recently launched its own app via Youmie. Members can find news, events, the membership list and forms all in one central place. From now on, everything you need as a member fits in your pocket.
De Schelp is a friendly family association with 220 beach huts on IJmuider Strand. For generations, members have been coming here to enjoy the beach, each other’s company and the sea. Among other things, the association organises collective maintenance, technical inspections, lettings and social activities on the beach.
In a club with so many beach huts and so many practical matters to manage, clear communication is essential. Think of setting up and taking down the beach huts, forms for committee roles and sign-ups for communal activities with beach hut owners. An app ensures that members spend less time searching for information and have more time for what really matters.
In the app, members will find a clear membership list with contact details of fellow beach residents. Events such as the annual Schelp Volleyball tournament are listed in the calendar, where members can sign up straight away.
For the committee, this means fewer individual emails and more organised management of registrations. For members, it means they can access everything they need in one place, whether they’re on the beach in summer or on the sofa in winter. Youmie builds club apps for beach clubs that currently manage their registrations and member information via email and separate forms, bringing news, events and forms all together in one place.
