S.S.R.-Rotterdam has recently launched its own app via Youmie. The Rotterdam-based society made the switch recently and is the first to use Youmie’s Congressus Connectie. S.S.R.-Rotterdam was founded in 1918 and has around 800 members. A key feature is its debating society structure: all first-year students join a debating society, which helps them quickly find their place within the society. The Koinoonia clubhouse is a listed building just a five-minute walk from Rotterdam Central Station.
Thanks to the Congressus Connectie, the executive committee does not need to keep records in two different places. Both events and member details are updated automatically. Using the Youmie Manager, committee members can send push notifications, post news items and manage groups directly from the app, and they can also grant these rights to other members. In addition, the board itself determines on the ‘My Profile’ page which details members can edit or make public, ranging from a mandatory name to an optional telephone number and a fixed membership number. Youmie builds association apps for student societies that currently update their membership records manually, featuring a Congressus integration and a ‘My Profile’ page where members can manage their own details.
