The Cercle l’Union social club has been based on the Vrijthof in Maastricht since 1879. The latest addition is its own app. The club has its own premises on the Vrijthof, where members meet, and is a member of the Contactraad Nederlandse Sociëteiten. Thanks to the app, the membership directory and the programme are now all in one place.
Three features of the app stand out in particular:
- Members’ directory: members can look up each other’s contact details in the app and get in touch directly.
- Event registration: registrations are synchronised with Congressus, so everyone can see who is attending or absent.
- Calendar: all the society’s events are listed together in the calendar.
For a club that thrives on social interaction, this is a logical combination: who’s coming and when is listed in the same app as who you’ll be joining for a drink.
