L.A.N.X. was founded in 1880 and is officially known as the Student Corps at VU University Amsterdam. The society now has more than 1,100 members, divided between the women’s and men’s societies, with the clubhouse on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal at its heart.
In a society of that size, it helps to have everything in one place. Through the careers module, members can find work placements, work experience opportunities and job vacancies within the app, which provides scope for personal development alongside their studies. The Creo integration provides comprehensive payment functions: members can view their transactions, top up their membership cards, add a card manually and block it. In addition, the society’s magazine is available in the app, so members can simply read it on their phones. Youmie builds association apps for student societies whose career information, magazine and membership card management are currently spread across separate systems, bringing everything together in a single members’ app.
